Good Morning.

Thank you Cardinal Duka for this opportunity to briefly speak on this third Sunday of Advent.

As the United States Ambassador here in Prague I bring you greetings of joy and good will from the people of the United States of America.

As the season of the birth of our savior Jesus Christ is near I also want to extend my personal wishes and prayer that God will continue to bless the people of the Czech nation.

The Christian spirit of peace, hope and love is the spirit all people of faith carry all year round, everywhere we go. As long as we do, we need never be afraid, because our trust in God answers all our problems.

My prayer today for you is “May you be filled with the wonder of Mary, the obedience of Joseph, the joy of the angels, the eagerness of the shepherds, the determination of the magi, and the peace of the Christ child.”

děkuji Vám, pane kardinále Duko, že mohu krátce promluvit o této třetí adventní neděli.

Jako velvyslanec Spojených států v Praze vám přináším pozdravy a přání radosti a dobré vůle od lidu Spojených států Amerických.

S blížícími se svátky narození našeho Spasitele Ježíše Krista vám chci také za sebe popřát, aby Bůh nadále žehnal vašemu českému národu.

Křesťanský duch spočívá v pokoji, naději a lásce a všichni věřící ho nesou s sebou po celý rok, ať jdeme kamkoli.

Dokud tak činíme, nemusíme se nikdy bát, protože naše důvěra v Boha nám dává odpovědi na všechny naše problémy.

Modlím se dnes za vás, aby vás naplnil:

„Údiv Panny Marie,

poslušnost Josefova,

radost andělů,

dychtivost pastýřů,

odhodlanost mudrců

a pokoj dítěte Ježíše.“
